The Challenge
Schools Need More Than Walls — They Need Intelligence
Educational institutions occupy a unique position in the security and technology landscape. They are high-traffic public environments — students, teachers, administrative staff, and visitors moving through shared spaces throughout the day — but they are also active learning environments where technology decisions directly affect the quality of education delivered inside the classroom.
Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi faced two distinct challenges that are increasingly common across Turkey’s public school infrastructure, and that are rarely solved together.
Perimeter and campus security without reliable, centralised monitoring. A school campus operating without continuous, integrated surveillance has no reliable way for administrators to respond to incidents in real time. Disconnected cameras, fragmented recording systems, and the absence of cloud-based central oversight meant that security events were documented after the fact — if at all — rather than managed as they occurred.
Classroom technology that could not keep pace with modern teaching methods. Teachers working across subjects as different as physics and foreign languages shared a common frustration: their classroom tools were not capable of the interactive, visual, and multimedia-driven approaches that make learning effective. Lesson delivery was constrained by the limitations of what the technology could do, not by what the teachers knew how to teach.
The core institutional challenge was that solving security and solving education technology were typically treated as separate procurement decisions, managed by separate departments, addressed by separate vendors. The result was an environment where neither problem was fully resolved, and where the infrastructure serving both functions remained fragmented and underperforming.
The IncreaWorks Solution
Capturing a Dual-Purpose Transformation on Camera
The deployment at Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi was notable precisely because it addressed both challenges — security and education — within a single integrated technology programme. IncreaWorks was engaged to document this story in a format that would function as a credible, replicable reference case for Dahua Turkey’s public sector and education vertical.
Story Architecture and Script Development. IncreaWorks structured the narrative around the two distinct audiences a school technology deployment must serve: administrators and procurement decision-makers who evaluate security infrastructure, and education directors and teachers who evaluate classroom technology. The script was built to demonstrate that both outcomes were achieved — and to let the people actually using the technology speak for it directly.
On-Site Video Production at Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi. The production team shot on location within the school, capturing both the security infrastructure deployed across the campus and the smart board systems in active classroom use. Two teachers — a physics teacher and a German language teacher — speak directly to camera about how the interactive smart board technology changed their daily teaching practice. Their testimony provides the human credibility that no product specification sheet can replicate.
Post-Production and Platform Delivery. The completed video was produced and delivered for publication on Dahua Technology’s official global YouTube channel, establishing Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi as an international reference case for integrated security and education technology in the public school sector.
What Was Deployed at Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi
PTZ Camera Systems. Pan-tilt-zoom cameras were installed across the school perimeter, providing continuous, flexible monitoring coverage of the campus exterior and key access points — eliminating the blind spots that fixed cameras cannot address in large campus environments.
High-Resolution Security Cameras with Central Recording. High-definition cameras were integrated with a centralised monitoring and recording infrastructure, giving school administrators a unified view of the entire campus and the ability to review recorded footage from a single management point.
Cloud-Based Central Monitoring Infrastructure. Dahua’s cloud-based central monitoring platform enables school administrators to respond to events in real time — not retrospectively. Incidents can be identified, assessed, and acted upon as they develop, rather than discovered after the fact.
Interactive Smart Board Systems with Recording Modules. Smart boards were deployed across classrooms, replacing static whiteboards with fully interactive, internet-connected displays. Scaled grid backgrounds, digital annotation tools, multimedia integration, and internet connectivity to national education platforms gave teachers a fundamentally different classroom capability. Smart board recording modules allow teachers to record lesson content directly — creating reusable educational material as a by-product of normal classroom delivery.
“We have been trying to use our board effectively for two years. The most useful feature in physics lessons is the scaled background grid. It makes drawing diagrams and explaining concepts significantly easier. And because we have internet access, we can reach the Ministry of Education’s platforms directly — displaying exam questions on the board and solving them together makes the lesson far more productive.”
— Özen Enir, Physics Teacher, Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi
“As language teachers, we use the interactive board very actively. Using visual and audio materials is essential for making lessons engaging. When I teach telling the time, explaining it with just words or a simple drawing could be boring — but with the board, students both see it visually and hear it. They mark what they hear directly on the board. That combination is what makes it effective.”
— Yeşim Satır, German Language Teacher, Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi
The Outcome
One Campus. Two Transformations. A Reference Case for the Sector.
The Dahua deployment at Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi produced measurable improvements across both dimensions of the institution’s challenge — security and education — within a single integrated programme.
Campus security elevated to real-time management. PTZ cameras, high-resolution surveillance, and Dahua’s cloud-based central monitoring infrastructure together shifted the school from reactive incident documentation to proactive security oversight. Administrators can now intervene as events develop, not after.
Classroom delivery fundamentally changed by interactive technology. Teachers across subjects describe a qualitative shift in how they can teach — using scaled tools for technical diagram work in physics, integrating audio-visual materials for language teaching, accessing national education platforms directly from the classroom display, and recording lesson content for future use. The technology did not replace what teachers know how to do. It removed the constraints that had been limiting it.
A replicable model for Turkey’s public education infrastructure. The Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi deployment now stands as a documented, professionally produced reference case demonstrating what integrated security and education technology looks like in a functioning public school — available to any institution, procurement authority, or regional education directorate evaluating similar programmes.
